Flock

I was in Washington, DC yesterday and had to stop and visit the birds

at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History.
Aren't they marvelous specimens?

Ahhh. That reminds me of my senior class trip to DC. I could have spent weeks in Natural History.

Nice, I was there 3 days ago, in the exact spot. Its amazing the variety of species they hold there--and its weird, because it seems as if they kind of put them off to the side, doesn't it? The mammals have this huge atrium, and then the birds, well, its like this odd hallway near the emergency exit.

Hello all! They have a really small collection and it is in the basement - slightly neglected. So hard to take pictures because it was so dark and dimly lit. The specimens were wonderful nonetheless.
